Don't let them go around here we have enough already! Really nobody wants more rabbits that I can think of. Good luck. Probably needs to be a clandestine operation.

I'm not sure you can really adequately reduce their population this way. But I do wish you good luck. Squirrels are my nemesis. My uncle traps squirrels at his home near Aurora and relocates. I believe he has already trapped about 400 this year alone and they just keep coming. He takes them out somewhere near E470. Long way from here.

And I agree with gjcore, I highly doubt anyone with property wants any more rabbits than they already have.

We have a ton of rabbits, there are 2 open fields in my complex, Mt. Vista. 78th and Allison by the old Chicago on Wadsworth we even had deer come visit. It's right next to Nottingham park.

Thanks DeZi - that's pretty close to us, so may keep that in mind. I did call CPW and and city of Westminster about open space areas to relocate rabbits to. They don't want them either, not surprisingly. So we had to figure a solution out on our own.

We did buy a trap and found some great spots, IMO, very close by with lots of grass, trees, and water in a large area not right by any homes and not an individuals private property that would require their permission. We caught 2 so far, and they are now in their new home. Nothing caught yesterday. So I've also doubled up on my deterrent methods - spray (both store bought and DIY mix), cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, and Irish Spring soap. I've also checked to be sure they cannot nest under our shed, or bushes along our fence line - although they run to those areas, doesn't look like they have set up homes there. We will also do what we can to shore up the gaps in the fence to try to keep any more from coming into the yard, but that is pretty challenging due to the size of our yard.

We've always had rabbits, but never as many as we've had this year!! Crazy!
