I always like a mirror for a foyer. Is the buffet in the foyer, too? A pretty lamp usually looks nice if you've got an outlet handy. How about a vintage or new desk/table clock?

Other posters will likely suggest adding a photo of your space.

You've got a LOT of circles and curves going on in those rooms, some of them very strong patterns, so I'd probably try to find some art (a larger piece - width is fine, but maybe taller, that is not a circle) to hang there. I also think all the sconces (4) in that small area are 2 too many, so I'd probably move the two above the buffet. The might look nice with your fireplace mirror, but, again, adding more circles there might not be the best for balance.

I think you tried to carry the theme of circles throughout your decor a bit too far. I hope this helps a bit. Try to edit some and give your eye a rest.

Your home is very beautiful. As was mentioned it looks too matchy matchy to my eyes. Everything also looks brand new. It lacks personality. I would remove the piece above the buffet and wait until you find colorful art. This is the time of year to visit art shows.

Use things that have meaning to you to place on the table as well as your mantel, and end tables. Do you have any family pieces?

Really looks like a lovely home. Before focusing on the buffet or buying anything new I would make a few other changes first. I don't think the round mirror over the fireplace works, a piece of art may be better. You could try moving the piece from the buffet over the fireplace to see how that looks. I also agree with Lynartist that a solid lampshade on both lamps would work much better. Perhaps the patterned shades would work in a bedroom. I love the sconces in the entry but agree they don't work with the buffet so if you want to use that buffet there you should move the sconces. A mirror in the entry would be great, move the dining mirror to the entry and a piece of art to the wall in the dining room. The mirror in the entry should be hung lower.

You have a lovely home! I agree with the suggestion to swap the mirror over the fireplace with the painting over the buffet. I would also bring in green on top of the buffet -- faux green apples in a large bowl perhaps -- and then a pretty tray to drop keys, etc.

Agree with above comments. It might have been mentioned, but you need to lower items hung on the wall. Note the distance between the mirror and cabinet in lynartist's example.

If the art stays in the foyer, turn it and place the candle holders above the sideboard. Nothing should extend beyond.

What a lovely home! I think you need taller art so it can be hung low enough for you to layer in front of it. The current width is right, but almost twice as tall. A green plant, a tray like the one below with books and a bowl. Something seasonal or particular to your area is always nice
