Cabinet Pulls, different projections

I’m considering the Waterstreet Brass Port Royal pulls or the Alno Charlie Collection.

I have varying cabinet drawer widths from 14” to 27”.

I’d like to use a 6” pull on the ones 18”
And under and an 8” pull on the 22” and over drawers. My hesitation is that the 8” pulls have a projection of 2”, almost 1/2 an inch deeper than the 6” pulls. Will these look awkward side by side?

The 6” and the 8” from the sample board is pictured below. Behind them is the 12” appliance pull.

Waterstreet does not label the 8” pull as an appliance pull but Alno does name their 8” pull an appliance pull.

    In my opinion, very awkward.

Yes, that 8" pull looks like an appliance pull (i.e. huge). I ran into this issue too and ended up using the next size down on my larger drawers. A 27” drawer does seem big for a 6" pull, but it looks like you plan on using 2 anyway?

I used an 8" pull on my paneled DWs only and then the next two sizes down for my drawers and pullouts. I used only one pull per drawer, except on the 48" drawers under the range top where I used two. I prefer a proportional look whereas some like to use the same size throughout. My husband is 6'5"with large hands so wanted a pull with a high projection to avoid rubbing the finish. We have the Shrewsbury pulls by Top Knobs.

I had some wider drawers in my kitchen too. I went with 6 5/16” pulls for the wider drawers and 5” for the smaller. There’s about a 1/4” difference in the projection and I don’t notice it at all. This section of cabinets have the wider pulls in the middle and smaller in the ends. The white cabinet in the background also has the bigger pulls

paulinean, your pulls are very similar to those I also chose : ) And yes, ours were the same - 6" pulls were lovely, but longer than that the thickness and projection increased exponentially. I ordered 1 in every size so I could see them in person and compare them on the cabinets (just holding them, not installing). And I wanted to do the same as you.. in the end, I went with 6" pulls, and used 2 on all wider drawers. I used the larger 10" pulls only on our dishwasher drawers and refrigerator. Now that they are in, I'm so glad I didn't put the larger pulls on some of the drawers, and the smaller 6" (which are substantial) on others. It would have looked too messy to my eyes, but that's me.

I personally do not like hardware with different depths mixed throughout the kitchen. Not only because of the look, but also the feel (like different size stair treads).

Maybe look at other brands to see if you can get the look you're after.

The exception is the occasional appliance pull.

Kim H - How wide our those drawers with the 6-5/16" pulls? Thank you!

Both the white and blue drawers with the 6 5/16 pulls are 30”. I have another set next to the stove that are 33” with the same size pulls. The smaller pulls are on the cabinets to the right
