I made lots of small bugs as the eggs within the seeds started hatching. Now I know that you need to freeze the seeds. How long depends on the seed and which bugs are the most commonly expected to be in it.

I think this was a craft my Mom did, back in the 60s maybe! I remember a really striking seed art Rooster that hung in the kitchen for a while. Even though it got no direct light, it faded within a year or two.

Looking back,I'm a little surprised my Mom took actual food and made a picture with it. She was a thrifty soul.
