I have very limited experience with grocery store minis. Currently, I have only one, which has been growing in the ground for about seven years. Limited care; no spray. One of my better performers. Very good disease resistance and good blooming; medium red. I believe it is a Poulsen/Olesen “Parade” series rose produced by Aldershot in Ontario. Grows a foot tall tops, compact, here in NJ.

I just have one, grows about a foot high. Lots of blooms, but prone to black spot. I’ve had it for a couple of years now, grown in a protected spot.

Do you do anything special to get good blooming?

I've had one for several years - longer than five, but i don't remember how much longer. It does okay some years and other years less than okay, but it always seems to come back. The original flower was blue-ish but now it's more pink. I don't do anything special to it - shot of fertilizer when i remember. It might do better if i took care of it, right? :)

Mary, my husband sometimes does some liquid fertilizer once or twice a season, or a top dress of compost. I myself don’t, haha maybe that’s why the plants look good without me knowing why.

I wonder if your number of blooms might have something to do with the variety? I find some to be heavier bloomers than others.
