Don't know what kind of supports you use, but I prefer galvanized wire cattle panels:

And I don't use wire twist ties because they can cut into the vine if you're not careful. I use a device called a "Tapener." It's a little pricey, but it's saved me hours of time tying up vines, tomato plants, etc.:

Tapener looks awesome! But it'll really hold those huge vines? You just put on multiple bands?

I think I need one either way for blackberries, black raspberries, etc!

Cattle panels are great. And I have a few in my garden. The only down side is transportation. Unless you have a trailer that you can use to transport them flat, it is quite impossible to bring them home without permanent bending them. We brought a couple home in a pickup truck, bending them into a U shape. We made it home ok but the panels were bent and do not look good anymore.

The tape in the tapener is incredibly strong. You don't need to worry: I've never had a vine or a branch break free.

I use shorter sections of cattle panel in my garden, so I take a pair of bolt cutters with me to cut the panels to half length before I load them into my trailer or tie them to my roof rack.
