I planted two chestnuts this spring, Primato (castanea sativa x crenata) and Nevada (castanea sativa). I think I messed up regarding getting two varieties that will pollinate each other. I remember reading that that they bloom at different times but now I can’t remember where I found that and I can’t find any other resource that lists blooming order, just a website that says they are divided into early, mid, and late blooming. Does anyone know a resource like that lists blooming order? I live in the Pacific Northwest.
