Right now I’m wishing this season was normal, I’d have more blooms to choose from. Decided my 4th of July photos would be taken today, I had to cheat a bit.

BTW, are any of you spending the entire 4th of July working in the garden?? It's sweltering hot here, in the 90's and I've been out weeding all day. I came in because I felt I was getting heatstroke. Sitting in front of a fan as I type.

Our old garden shed. Not something you'd see on the cover of a gardening magazine because it's made from scraps and recycled material, but it holds a lot of gardening equipment and junk.

MORE BLUE.....technically purple, but these look like fireworks going off to me!

Sherry - Fern Stone is a good choice for a red. I just saw Little Showman in person in a Tennessee garden, and it truly looks blue. Such a pretty little thing! I like your hydrangea too. Is it an oak leaf variety? I love the balloon flowers. I can never get the white kind to grow for me, but I grow three blue kinds.

Debra, Ruby Slippers is an oak leaf, it stays small, and takes some sun, the blooms turn reddish. I grow the smaller balloon flowers, have some pink ones too, they aren’t blooming yet. Love Crintonic Rain Dance!
