I’m in Milwaukee and fortunately missed hail damage with the recent storms. Sorry about your damage. It’s really hard to see when you have worked so hard. Your DQ looks good and hopefully the others will turn around for you. Good luck, don’t expect hail with the heat we are having, but the weather is so wacky, you never know.

I feel your pain. I've lived through the salad shooter yard and it's not pretty and makes the whole rest of the season just sort of blah. Especially if you have a relatively short season. Looks like DQ is the bright side. I do love DQ (the hosta and the ice cream, haha).

At least the hostas don’t care if they have holes in them!

The good thing about my gardens is I have a ton of different daylilies and they are getting started blooming, so lots of flowers soon. I think I have about 70 hosta in varying sizes in the beds and pots here, and about 170 daylilies varying sizes, all on a quarter acre lot, and four well trained shih tzus, most likely better behaved than the two French bulldogs you met.

I don't know much about it..saw just a quick mention on the news a few days ago..and I thought of you and your garden..I have just 2 daylilies..Pandora's Box and who knows?..they both bloomed years ago but not in awhile..maybe too much shade?..it's ok..I get some color from annuals in the summer..both of us certainly have filled our lots..I'm sure your shih tzus have better manners..those French Bulldogs were so excited..they just wanted to play..I spoke to them but my husband was digging and didn't give them the time of day..

Your garden is lovely, beautiful colors! I had similar hail damage few years back. This year some hosts had large cut worms damage. It sucks.
