Is this Tree-of-Heaven?

Inherited plants with my house; not sure which things are weeds. In eastern MA. This tall tree kinda seems like a weed because it grew so fast. I looked up invasive species in my area but read that Tree-of-Heaven flowers which this has not yet.

Yes! Chop asap and treat the stump with full strength Roundup weed and brush killer. Apply with an old paintbrush. Then, after a few weeks, try to dig up the stump. Good luck.

It is too young to have flowers.

Not near you yet, but the spotted lanternfly thrives on tree of heaven. It is a new invasive insect that is threading to agriculture. A portion of southern Pa is under a quarantine for them. Makes stick bugs look like a friendly bug.

Everyone near Philly is being told to kill any tree of heaven on their propery..

The state of Maryland is killing them along the highways.
