Time to get the pool area beautiful

Looking for ideas for this seating area by our pool. Thinking we should add a rug and a coffee table. But what color? Also, those pillows don’t have to stay.

Please ignore the pool floats. Took them out of the pool to get the pool cleaned.

I think it will be boring until you put in some tall, narrow plants, such as Japanese Holly, cv. Sky Pencil. Or, maybe blooming summer vines like Mandevilla

You need pots and plants...and no red plastic chairs...

Daisy- the red plastic chairs were purchased just as we took possession so we would have somewhere to sit and enjoy the outdoor space until our patio furniture was delivered. They are not meant to stay.

It’s so blue. I like the reprieve from blue the red chairs and the green alligator add, so I would add color. Yes to plants, in big bright pots. Yes to a rug if you want one for your feet. You will have to move it a clean under it so don’t do it if you don’t want that extra chore. Some of those walls are crying out for art.

Its the pool area make fun a full of giggling children and adults

It looks a bit of a pit where your sofa is - very dark. I would paint in there white,

add a colorful rug and colorful pillows. Accessories and plants give it life.

There are some great questions such as your style, your goal for the look, who uses the space, do you want it fun and silly or more serene or more edgy or artistic? I would keep the paint color the same as it will help it stay cooler without causing blinding reflections from the water. I would love to see fun flamingos and bright colors. Pillows a rug and art work on the walls adding super colorful plants and some green vines.

I agree with everyone that a pop of color would be great. You could bring in a colorful rug that ties in the blues you have in the space and the peach/coral in the one pillow on the sectional.

I might look for a coffee table I could use for storage, but I like this blue one

And it also comes in a color called buffalo wing which would certainly turn the heat up

The bonus if you get a rug that has those colors is you can keep the red chairs.

    Plant ideas:

The set doesn’t really work, everyone would just be sitting in a line. If you can’t return it -love the colours!-you could use another chair. You definitely need multiple tables. Every seat should have somewhere to put down a drink and grab a snack. I don’t have a huge yard but I have seating and tables for 24. The best purchase were chairs where the ottoman tucks underneath that can be used to sit on when company comes over and of course put your feet up.

First- what a lovely area to relax and entertain in! Depending on what your main goals are, you can turn this area into an elegant, peaceful retreat or , as others have mentioned, a fun and colorful space.
Personally, you can add plants as depicted in Doug’s design, and you can use pillows and plant vases for a pop of your favorite colors.
Can’t wait to see what you do!
    Lovely area!

Why are you blocking the doors with the seating? That isn’t going to be helped with plants. You do need plants though. Bring the seating out and use umbrellas if necessary.

Plants are a must, but good automatic irrigation has to go along with it...It looks very difficult with all of the hardscape already in place. It can be done with running clear tubing up and around your columns, but if you don’t have experience with this you should budget in a landscape pro. Most of us are saying plants because it ‘cools’ and softens all of the hard surfaces. All of the fancy furniture and deco. won’t help the harshness of all of the concrete, stucco, etc.
