yep thanks.....I've been using my android phone lots lately and Houzz doesn't give me the options like edit etc. Up three flights of stairs the desktop is much better. Getting lazy!

Hey Ryan, Thanks for the photos. I've always wondered why you don't hear of people growing Susan very often. With the small footprint and small gardens like mine I've always thought it was desirable.
That Farnsburg is flat out fantastic looking, especially on that slope!

any story behind the name ?

ron

"any story behind the name ?"

Named after Susan Jones, the manager of Mitsch Nursery, OR (now closed), who found it as a chance seedling.

Ryan, lovely garden! What type of Weeping Alaskan Cedar is that in your second photo?

Thanks Stuart, it's a 'Green Arrow'.

How is your redwood doing? I brought a 1ft sapling back from CA and it has grown (in a terra cotta pot) about 4ft in one season. Trying to decide if it will survive out in the yard here on the east end of LI? any words of wisdom?

WHO , WHERE , WHY not bring up an old thread about redwoods to ask your question ?
