Could you post a floorplan with adjecent rooms please?

I’ll actually draft up a full floor plan and post it eventually. I don’t have it at the moment, I’ll reply with that when I have it! For now, here’s a very poor one that I made. The bathroom is on the bottom, the second to the right room.

Pocket doors would solve the problem of the door swings, but they don't provide as much privacy as swinging doors. It's unclear what that little room next to the bath is in the bottom plan, but if you incorporate it into the bath there might be opportunities to swing the doors into the bath. You definitely don't want to swing the doors into the bedrooms as drawn in your plan.

Use a barn door or pocket door. Swinging doors take up too much bathroom space.

Looks like you hadn't finished your floorplan yet (fridge in a closet? is it a closet? where does it open?). Are you happy with the overall layout? Are you renovating? Where is the main entrance and where is the best spot looking out? Are stairs and entry next to eachother (stairs gone off scale?)?

Quick update, I haven't gotten around to drawing out my layout again. I'll update this conversation when I do.

@Rapp & Tangerine, I think we're thinking along the same lines. what do you think of bi-fold doors? We're trying to accomplish having some privacy, but also not taking up as much space. Pocket doors would be our ideal solution, but it would mean that we wouldn't have a good place for the light switch. Barn doors are another solution but it seems like that would provide even less privacy than pocket doors or bifold doors.

@Rinq, I definitely haven't finished my floor plan yet :-) That old floor plan was really poorly done on my part. We're not too happy with the overall layout of Jack and Jill, but we probably don't have the budget to knock down too many walls. Our main goals are just to remodel the kitchen and bathroom. The main entrance to the bathroom is from the bedroom to the left, and there is also an entrance to the bathroom on the right side.
