What colors do you love? I would pick an actual color unless you prefer the bland everything the same look.

Recently was in an open house after beautiful renovation, and so like oyster white with worldly gray SW walls in the same open concept space, look amazing! Try sample please, cos online colors look different.

I would go with less yellow/ beige color, more grayish. Here is my visual with Collingwood BM

I think you definitely need to move towards the grey/white area, instead of that beige/tan color.

I agree with the two girls, rawket and celery. Your walls are much warmer than your backsplash and the two don't play very well. Choose a cooler gray.

I agree with 'cpartist'. Maybe stretch yourself with a soft color other than neutrals. Thousands of tones and colors on the color palettes. One that will work with your accessories or furnishings of color from your other rooms. Accessorize with a vase or bowl or towels in the kitchen with the new color.

Thank you all. I like the idea of moving towards grey or white -- I've been living with orange and black granite and yellow walls in the kitchen for a long time. I do lean towards warm colors - my color palette throughout the house is browns, rusts, blacks and white. Maybe I can find a warm grey or warm white that will tie in with the other colors in the house.

I recommend white or very light gray. Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace is my go to white, very fresh and bright. If you want to try a light gray, you should order colors from Samplize (check their website). I suggest Light Pewter 1464 or White Winged Dove 1457. They are both warm grays that will work better next to your warm tan on your other walls. Samplize makes 12X12 peel off back sheets that adhere to the wall in any BM color. Then you can move it from one wall to another to see the color in different lights and next to the color in the rest of your house to see how they flow.

Since everyone is using gray, if you want difference, for a cool color, here is a blue gray that reads some blue. You could go softer on this same palette. It works well with dark cabinetry.

For a warm wall color, this is pretty also. You could go lighter on the same palette.

I would take a look at BM Dove Wing. It seems to be an agreeable white that might be sympathetic to the current color which you are keeping throughout. I looked at Chantilly Lace, Simply White, and thought they read a bit stark in our home when I made sample boards.

Thank you Architexture for suggesting Samplize! I've ordered many of the different colors suggested here and they'll arrive within a few days. Beats buying different paint cans and painting myself.
