It is chilly this morning here too....so refreshing. It was in the 50's overnight but everything opened well and the colors are so vivid. Yours are looking splendid. You have a daylily I have wanted (Make it Snappy) and it looks terrific with your culture. My Clown Parade had it's ffo yesterday with more open today.....how could anyone NOT love that one? It's awesome.

Great ones! I have seen Make it Snappy before, but don't remember it making such an impression on me as tour photo. Clown Parade is always a favorite, and I love the last shot you posted

My favorite is the photo with Winter Treasure and Enter Laughing. Both those clumps look so nice surrounded by the coneflowers and rudbeckia! Make It Snappy looks like a great plant. I'd love to see a closeup of the bloom.

Thank you all for the comments. So much is still waiting to show themselves. I decided to trim down the height of many of the rudbeckia and the purple coneflowers along the front of the beds. I got most of the lychnis cut back before they start dropping more seeds.

Debra: I'll try to get one tomorrow of Make It Snappy up close if it has another opening.

I too like the Winter Treasure setting. You have a very nice clump of Winter Treasure. Also, a big clump of Make It Snappy. How would you evaluate All American Girl? Have wondered about that Rice. Early morning shots can be interesting, but of course, the pictures produced are more grainy at that time.

Again , I can't choose I'm afraid. So many beautiful blooms. I guess the only one not on my top ten is Orange Overload and that simply is because it is orange and I can't picture it in my gardens. Probably because I have so many fulva europa growing here . I dont think I want anymore orange.

Your last garden shot is spectacular ........they say" one is never closer to God than in a garden" and that shot makes me think of that quote.

mantis: All American Girl is mostly consistent for me with average scapes, opens in the early morning and I would place the bloom size at 5 inch. I'm not sure with your higher heat it would have the deep color I have here. However as our temps will be going up significantly over the next several days, I will try to get another pic showing how it holds up in the 90's with heat index near 100.
