Additional picture

I also have this floral picture which measures 25 x 25.

Better pic

If you don’t need additional lighting, go ahead and hang the picture about 3”-4” above the desk. If you do need a lamp, I would look for something else, maybe with less bulk.

ETA I like the smaller pic better.

Yep, either will work, but the chair is way too large for that desk.

How do I determine what height the chair to get for this desk?

Unlike Beverly, I am not a pro. However, like Beverly, I was also thinking that there was something off about the chair here. Below are some ideas for chairs that might work with your desk. Maybe someone can photoshop them for you.

If I end up using this picture above the desk, what kind of items are if any should I placed on top of the desk?

Should I add anything else to the top of the secretary or leave it like it is?

I like it as is and would only add a small lamp on the side if more light is needed.

Can the lamp sit on top of the secretary desk or not?

Which lamp looks better?

I like the larger one, but I do like the idea of displaying something atop the books on the opposite side. Do you have a tchotchke of some sort that could go there?

Or this one?

Love that one! It's so sweet!

Which one looks best?

Of my last post, which decor do you think looks the best?

I agree with Ida about your last pics. 1st and 3rd.

Nice desk!

Thanks for the input. I like all of them.

#1 and #3

Does anyone have any examples of other chairs besides just the wooden chairs that someone posted? I’m thinking I would like to have a cloth chair there and what should the depth of the seat be?

I like the simple wood chairs, as I feel that they work well stylistically with your desk. However, if you want an unpholstered chair, here are a few that I found that may or may not work. Maybe someone could photoshop them into your space for you.

What bothers me about the last bunch I posted is that they seem too modern, whereas your space seems more traditional. Check these ones out.

Do you think this chair would go with my desk?

It looks to me as though it might, but I am no expert. Any pros here care to weigh in? Anyone care to photoshop this?

Can you Photoshop the previous photo of the chair next to my desk to see how it would look? Thanks

This is the chair that I picked to use by my desk.

All in all, it's a charming vignette that would have me smiling every time I saw it. I do think that the plant and its pot are not exactly right, though. It crowds the space a bit.

Do you think it would look better with the plant removed?

Yes!
