Any fruits (berries or capsules) on it anywhere? Otherwise using only what is visible here it's pretty hardy to tell. Maybe if you show an intermediate view between the too far away habit shot and the close view that only shows one shoot section it will become more recognizable.

I’ve been going back and forth about what to suggest because, as Embothrium pointed out, the photos are a little tough to see. My first instinct was blueberry tho. Any history about how this came to be in your garden? And where your garden is?

Close view resembles blueberry but long straight whippy shoots in habit shot do not.

I have had long whippy shoots like that on blueberries before, not that I’m standing too firmly behind what is essentially a total guess.

if it was pruned or whacked back it would throw out unusually long shoots

I am not familiar with z8 and whether Vacciniums or blueberries could thrive in that warm climate
