One little turn of that chair and it FITS! Margo, do you love it????
Could you scoot the chaise down a bit towards the tv and a bit to the couch. Set the big red canister in the window behind the chaise in the corner . send pic ;) You are such a good sport!
This looks awkward to me. Such a big area for the chaise. May need to add something
  • 13 years ago
    Boring Tuesday night lol
    Boom
You need a small chest to sit on that low wall or a short bookcase.

I like the canister in the corner but the chaise is not angled quite right. Move it a bit to the left if you are standing in front of it. Keeping it angled in
  • 13 years ago
I agree I definitely need something. No more chairs?

Is the height of the end table by the chaise throwing the chaise off?
    A little further

I love the ideas we need new lamps and i have a ladder shelf im sticking in the corner of the room and we are looking for a wagon wheel to sit on the floor under the floating shelf . I want to get old pottery to sit on the shelves along with a big canvas painting above the couch however they are quite expensve . I was thinking red for the curtains to give it a pop!

Angle the foot area towards the center of the rug. A bit of a swivel, we are almost there.
    There she is!
Margo- i like the plant back n the window however a chest would look nice or a floor lamp
  • 13 years ago
    Abra cadabra

    .
Or a bench with pillows agaimst that open window:)
Yes , the plant is hidden now. Back she goes:)
The angle of the chair matches the angle of the pattern in the middle of the rug!
The chaise is now angled right :) So now what was your original post question?
Are we all in agreement with the arrangement of the furniture that is present?

Margo is right about something on that short wall. You have an outlet so use two candlestick lamps to fill that opening. The dried arrangement looks better on the floor.

ONE LITTLE question......the angle of the table by the leather recliner and couch? Leave it angled? Kiddy whampus?

Gosh, darn, Margo! I love the couch and the recliner right where they are and am amazed with the turn of that chair. AND the angle of the chaise totally works, too. This has my vote! Think I like the vase up high so it shows and gives that splash of color right there. It was just too hidden. THANKS for moving the colored pillow on the chaise, too. Happy Dance. Where are the drinks for this boring Tuesday night now???
abbyjean- good catch. I forgot all about that end table. It needs to come into the rug a bit too. angle or no angle?

Wall decor and throw pillows. Save your money for the canvas you are dreaming of. Hey......a wedding present!!!! LOL Throw pillows for the leather? You can still play with the rug color going on there. WHAT A NICE ROOM!
If the table stays right there, in the middle, I say NO angle. IF it moves closer to the chair, angle, but the other way.
JEFF- we are not done yet...move the end table between the sofa and the recliner so that the ends of the end table meet the sofa arm and the recliner arm. Try it.
Haha bout to have a drink! Original questions was what to fill the open space above the couch with. Not that we have why we have in addition what to do with the space between the two rooms! This is fun! Lol

The only way I know is to go to my profile and hit *follow* and then I can hit *follow back*. I think you can also message someone. So you could message a new post alert. Maybe abbyjean knows more :) Try it!

That was soooo fun last night and the best part was seeing that room come together. BRING ON the rest of your home....it is a great space!!! I saw the question last night about being friends and while I was smiling, I thought......the only thing I know is to follow someone. Happy Wednesday!!!

Great "Peel & Stick" wall tiles, very DIY, basically stickers!
I would look to add a pop of color with some art above the couch! There is an iPad app that lets you take a picture of your wall and visualize original art hanging in your room. Super helpful - you can find it at www.arttwo50.com.
LOVE your ideas to finish off the room and would love to see the ladder shelf when it gets there and that wagon wheel, too!
I found some possibilites for art. These canvas prints can be ordered in different sizes from http://fineartamerica.com/art/all/southwestern/canvas+prints Some are prints of paintings, others are photographic prints--lots more where these come from

How is the room looking? I would suggest an 'Autumn Red' mohair throw on your sofa would work well. (From our Everyday Luxury selection : http://mohairsandmore.com/100-everyday-luxury-mohair-throw-blankets/ )
