Your link shows a very nice campaign style table. What it doesn’t show,in the second photo is the wire to the lamp. Wires showing would be my reason for not buying this table.

Really matters not, unless your master bedroom is a ground view to outside and your worryiing about the view from the street.

Far more important, is the look of the bed itself. Is it low and modern, heavy wood and traditional , upholstered? What? Post a photo of the bed in the room.

JudyG Designs raises a good point. I like an open/minimal look and so my preference would be open below, but two reason I would go solid are 1) if I needed additional storage and/or 2) to hide wires. The latter can be avoided with strategic outlet placement and wall sconce lighting.

I like round, slightly taller than the mattress so that I am less likely to knock something over in the middle of the night.
