Recently, we had a repair company come out to look at our AC that wasn‘t blowing cold air. Here, they claimed water in the basement was the cause and the repairs were $2,000. We did have some water, but that usually ends up in the corners and not near the center of the room where the furnace is. Anyway, we paid it and as of last night (just two weeks later) the air stopped blowing again. i checked the furnace / AC and here the unit is soaked and freezing. It seems that the problem they identified wasn’t the true issue and they didn’t repair the root cause. They are coming today, but is this something that should be on them to repair ?
