We have an entry door to our walk-out basement in need of replacement. Our home is a 1997 custom home in a nice middle and upper class neighborhood and I want to go with a door from a brand that wouldn't bring down the value of the home by being too cheap/low quality but also don't want to put in a door that would be too high end. I got a quote yesterday from a company selling Provia doors and they claimed to be mid-grade. We decided on a Legacy Steel Door. Would you say Provia Legacy Steel Doors are mid-grade? What other companies manufacture mid-grade doors? Is my concern valid? Can an exterior door's quality bring down the perceived value of a home when it comes time to sell?
