There seem to be some Iris ensata with very similar coloured flowers, but, as you say, the leaves. They look too wide for I.ensata.

Any Iris gurus around?

The flower makes me think Dietes, maybe D. robinsoniana?

Interesting, you should suggest Dietes. My first thought, when I saw it, was that it had a resemblence to Dietes grandiflora, which was quite a common weed in Australia.
