What's incredible is how important proper watering is to weed control.

I can't recommend an herbicide for hot weather, but I would like to talk about your watering schedule. The grass should have lasted 2 weeks with no water at all in your area. What is your normal watering schedule and what did you change it to? How long and how often do you water?

That happens. And it's also true that application of herbicide is going to be much more likely to damage grasses in summer.

Weed B Gon Max is made for daytime temperatures under 90, which is true for MA at the moment and, seemingly, for quite some time. You're good to go on that stuff and it should wipe out most of your problem with a blanket spray if you want to use it.

Watch your temperatures, and I'd advise applying in the early evening anyway to give it the cooler overnight hours to absorb. Make sure the next day or two isn't going to go over 90 and you should be fine.

Even if it does go a little over by surprise, you'll be fine.
