How about some matte white 3" hexes for the shower floor? Or even some penny rounds? Either would work with the beachy vibe you've got going with the blue tile. (Pretty, btw!)

What do you mean by top half of the shower? Are you thinking of using two different tiles for the shower walls? The blue one that you posted looks very nice

Thank you. I was thinking of using the blue on the lower half to about 5 foot and then using white subway on the top with a decorative border between them, similar to my current bathroom. The blue tile bathroom remodel is for a beach house. I really like the blue tile also and will most likely use it on the entire shower, except for maybe a fan or fish scale tile waterfall feature on the back wall.

It might be too much to have three different tiles. Here is an example that might give you an idea..I think it looks a bit choppy

You could do a wider decorative section in the middle

or have the entire thing one tile

An alternative to hex tile is octagon-dot (square) tile (this is white and gray, hard to tell on monitors):

That blue tile is gorgeous! Please use just that for the entire shower.

I just visited the SL Idea house in Crane Island this past weekend. The guest bath used very similar blue tile all the way to the ceiling,...and maybe the walls outside the shower come to think of it.? It's beautiful. I wouldn't chop it up. with another tile.. They used white penny tile on the floor. I'll see if I took any pics :)

One tile on shower walls. One on bath floor and shower floor, will give you a LARGER appearing bath.

Use the blue on ALL the shower walls, , top the curb with same counter material. Pick a simple white hex, or penny round for floors of all, . DONE.

If the blue can be used as a floor tile? That can be bath floor as well With a simple white penny or hex for the shower floor. Limit yourself for the best result : )

Thank you all for the great advice. I believe I will go with all blue walls and a simple white (shape to be decided) shower floor. Renovations in the OBX are super slow, but hope to post pics when it's done. Thanks, again!

Do the shower walls and ceiling in the blue tile, and use the white matte hex for the flooring (sanded grout for non-slip floor) and for the shampoo/soap niche.

Thank you! I can update with actual measurements when I'm there next (beach house) but it's about 5' x 5' with 2' door opening. I get a little splash on the quartz sill where you step out but have waterproof LVP on the bathroom floor.
