Wife and I are discussing a remodel of our staircase. We would like to do iron balusters which I’ve done previously and am comfortable with. However, we’ve also discussed replacing the posts which I’m much less comfortable with. I can see where the bottom 2 posts have 4 screws that appear attached to the base of the stairs (photo #2). How are the top 2 posts be attached though (photo #3)
