Will it be a glass enclosure with a glass door or just a glass panel with the pink line an open space? If the shower is doorless and the enclosure is clear glass the angle will be less noticeable, especially if it is curbless and the shower and floortile are matching. Depending on where the shower head goes, i think it could be a walk in without a door.

Always. Even if you live alone. Add a sink and the value goes up. Be sure to have the vanity cabinet as long as you can go...in your case to the angled corner......48”. Two 24” sink cabinets with a counter and undermount sinks. Undermount is classier, but there are nice drop-in sinks these days. I’ve never used 18” single-door vanities with sinks that fit, but it would allow a 12” bank of four or five drawers. If you prefer two 24” vanities, maybe you can put two drawer units under the window with a matching counter. You can never have too much storage in the bathroom. We like recessed medicine cabinets more than wall-mounted, but there may be plumbing in the wall that rule out recessed. You won’t know until you open the wall. Have a pro do it, and get a permit and have inspections.

Kathleen, the pink line is the opening. No door. I am thinking the wall nearest the toilet is a pony wall with glass on top. I like your advice on having a big wall of glass, but with the big windows I feel very exposed to the neighbors ;) That is a good idea though and I will definitely reconsider the plan.

I understand that it is expensive to move the waste stack for the toilet. But I don't think it's that bad to move plumbing for a vanity. At least that was my experience with my bathroom remodel. Is it possible you could put a double vanity in front of the windows? I've seen HOUZZ pictures where the designer mounts mirrors in front of the windows. If you do this, you might be able to get 2 sinks. To do that you would need to shorten and probably square it off on the end where it is closest to the windows. If you do this, you could put a storage/linen cabinet in the place where you are currently showing the small vanity.

If you absolutely don't want to put the vanity in front of the windows, you could install a custom upolstered built-in bench (following the lines of the bay windows) with drawers or a lift-up seat for storage. In that scenario you would still want to shorten and probably square off the shower.

I would much rather have a rectangular shower 36 X 60 and install a sliding or glass door on the long side to make it easy to turn on the shower and adjust temp before getting in. I would want the shower head on the short side at the bottom. You could put a nice linen cabinet between the end of the shower and the window on the left side, or maybe a small vanity. How much space do you have on the left wall before you get to the window? Does the toilet face the window or shower??
