Anybody Else Growing Macadamia?

My Macadamia nut tree finally bore this year and I've been collecting the nuts. I'm pretty excited about it, because I was starting to despair that it might be sterile, since I've had it for at least 5 years. I don't recall seeing the flowers either. Hurricane Irma caused it to lean slightly, and I was afraid to try and straighten it, thinking it might damage the roots, so it looks a bit wonky.

So far I've harvested maybe a few pounds of nuts still in their husks. Not sure how many pounds it would be if they were shelled, but it's over a colander full right now and I've hulled & cracked a couple every day to munch on.

Man! they are hard shelled, though. I've been using a hammer and some locking pliers to crack them so far.

Thinking of buying a heavy duty nut cracker. My 'Growing And Using Exotic Foods' book says a mature tree can produce 100 pounds a year!
