We did ours 5 years ago. They sprayed the tile and tub white, and regrouted the tile. It was pink/maroon tile previously. I think I spent $600 and it looks great still. A nice, cheap alternative to ripping it all out, and much faster. The only maintenance I've had to do is replace the caulk between the tub and shower walls.

millekat1, could you please post photos of your refinished tub and tile? I'm considering that as an option also.
