Why would my watermelon die so sudden like this?

It wasn’t like this yesterday and I come home from work and I see this. What could’ve caused this sudden death? Bark wasn’t snapped in half and all of its stems were intact. Moisture was even with rain yesterday. There were 2 fruits both still immature but soft because it was soft and ripening as the plant is dead.
