Sleeping Beauty looks almost exactly like El Nino. They are Halcyon sports. Your photo shows a much longer leaf, more like Wolverine or L. Dragonfly.

is your white edged all summer.. if so.. its not W ...

comparing pix in the library ... yours doesnt seem like a wide nor thick enough leaf.. but we all know that could be a maturity thing ... how old is your plant???

though the same could be said of the SB pix.. but your flower looks a lot like the SB flowers in the library ...

Does it come up very early in spring? Wolverine is a very early bird.

Babka—- “L” Dragonfly?

Ken will attach a picture from June 24 where the borders look golder to me....

zkathy—-I am not sure if it’s any early one or not. That is something I have never kept track of. I will have to next spring.

Also, I have had this plant for years (+10) and this the first bloom. Also, it may be hard to tell,but the leaves do have a waxy substance to them. Sorry Ken it’s an overhead shot, your fav....lol

L. Dragonfly = Lakeside Dragonfly

Your SB is really very pretty.. and you are right, the leaf shape is different. Thanks for clarifying Lakeside, I often see LS for the abbreviation so I thought L had a different meaning.

The Hosta Library has a whole separate listing under "L" for Mary Chastain's magnificent Lakeside Acres introductions. Many were hybridized the old fashioned way, before the dawn of "tissue culture". I never checked the whole alphabet to see if any other hybridizer got that sort of attention in the library.

Here’s another shot. Now this blows my mind, because the leaves actually don’t have a white border even through it looks that way in the photo. The edges are basically yellow. Must have my color settings off. So now, it can’t be Wolverine, right? Also Middle is green with some streaking to the edges Not blue——so now what could I have? SB?

You are exactly right! Another victim of mislabeling!! Does yours have the same flower I posted above? Thanks for your pictures....... :-)

My L.Dragonflies are blooming now (N. Illinois) . Bloom time tells something about the lineage and if I was really really into it I'd research further. My fragrants are all blooming to (Plantagenia lineage).

Someone gave me a Wolverine so I put it deliberately next to my Dragonfly because of the similarity. Don't recall when W. bloomed. If I was really really into it I'd keep a journal.

That is a Wolverine behind the Dragonfly. And I have 5 Dragonflies that all look like the above.

EDIT: I do not have another Wolverine to compare to.
