Is the house all brick, or just the front?

We will extend the roof as the same the as the addition portion.

What color is the roof? It looks like a poor match to the brick.

I would consider removing the brick from the garage wall and doing stucco to help unify the house.

I'm curious -- what's covering the addition? It looks like cement board that would be used under tile. Never seen it used on the exterior like this.

Can't say as I think the shrubs flanking the walk are a good idea for the walk or house.

And remove some low-hanging limbs from the large tree in order to create a clear view below it to the house.

I would suggest you make the stucco the same color as the brick and add matching white siding on the gable above the stucco. I also would suggest relocating the small, cone-shaped shrubs and adding two or three shrubs with an arching shape to flank the large windows. i also would suggest having black shutters on all the windows, but I believe the shutters need to be wider than those on the front windows. I also would add white-painted flower boxes filled with red-blooming plants under the windows.
