It looks as though I will have to give up my dream of having my balcony tiled in the style of Malibu Art Pottery or the equivalent.

The balcony is in Los Angeles so isn't subject to freezing temperatures. However, most of the Malibu Art Tile I have found is too high as the tile on my balcony needs to be thin because if it is too thick it will come up too high on the threshold of my sliding door which means that there is potential issues if water gets too high which it has occasionally done in an El Nino deluge.

I had thought I had sourced what I wanted with Fireclay as it had the look and was thin enough to use. However, when I priced it out - alas it came out to be about $150 per square foot which was more than I wanted to spend for balcony tile.

I am now going in the direction of terrazzo tile - something in this style but not black and beige. I'm waiting for samples. It's nice but not what my heart craves. Before I give up my dream, does anyone know of sources for Malibu Art Tiles or even tiles that have more of an Arts & Crafts feel.

Of course any other suggestions for balcony tile is welcomed

This is my inspiration for my balcony. I already checked with Native Tile and their tile is too thick.
