I have a pretty specific question regarding engineered wood Chevron Floor plank size. Hoping to get a recommendation. I am definitely going with chevron in the dining room and living room. The rest of the home will be straight lay 5” wide planks. The home is open concept. Dining room is 12’-6” x 14-6”. Next to the d/r is the kitchen, which is 16’ x 14-6”. The kitchen floor will be a slab blk quartzite w/ white veining, which matches the 16’ Island. Then, next to the kitchen (kitchen in middle) is the 19’ x 14’-6” l/r. Is 5” x 30” chevron “too bold”, as some have suggested. It is either 5” x 30” or a thinner 4” x 30”. Cost is not materialy different. Is 1” thicker/thinner a substantive difference in the look? Any insights appreciated.
