Unless she has a geometrically symmetric house façade she shouldn't in fact have any use for matching pairs of topiary.

^^ That is entirely a matter of opinion!! There are NO landscape design rules that dictate that philosophy and one often sees matching containers, topiary or otherwise, on either side of an entry porch or front door regardless of architectural style or symmetry. And they all look perfectly fine.
