Pots with flowers in them placed around?

Corrin - I'm not sure how the two spaces relate or what you are having trouble with... Next to the fireplace appears to be a short coffee-table of sorts, but the table painted turquoise is a picnic table on a whole different paver. I'm confused. I think the main area, flanked by the house looks great. The rug is really nice and I love the fireplace. Maybe another area rug there for some additional color and certainly some additional freestanding plants could help (a tall dracaena or corn plant, with some spillers trailing our of the same pot). What about some garden stools? Nice color that can used for drinks or extra seating...

Sorry about the confusion. The turquoise picnic table is a space on the side with grass. The other space is off the sliding doors in the back. We spray painted that small metal table by the fire pit for splashes of color (forgot to take a picture). Love the idea of an umbrella and seating area!

Shade. People would rather sit in a cool shady area than in direct sun.
