We have to finalize a lighting plan for our basement powder room this weekend. I've looked at lots of how-tos and websites but am still uncertain about the number, size, and position of lights.

Key Facts:

• The ceilings are just over 6.5 feet" (we're renovating a previously finished basement and there's duct work so we're stuck with the low ceilings), so the plan is to have recessed lights. Plus there will be a pendant light to the left of the vanity as shown below.
• People seem opposed to putting can lights above vanities because the light is unflattering, but I'm not sure if the single pendant light will be sufficient for the mirror/vanity.
• There is a small window in the bathroom, but it's ground level and located above the toilet on the wall labeled 65", so it'll be frosted.

We were thinking 4" can lights, but I don't know if that's the right size, how many to use, and where to put them.
