echeveria setosa var. deminuta

and either the graptopetalum filiferum or graproveria silver star

Thanks dude. Some times you guys need to teach me all about echs, grasptos and the rest of those.

So what is the difference between filiferum and silver star.

I have no idea. Cacti are my thing for the most part...except some obscure mammillaria, half of rebutia and hybrid echinopsis

filiferum is one parent of silver star, and thus likely the one with dominant genes and features but that is all i can give you.Maybe filiferum has those tip-spike-hairs longer, but im just guessing here. Flowers should of course be different..but that makes it too easy.

I was looking at the two on the web, and they appeared identical. Thus my question. Maybe Rina will comment on this thread.

Thank you Rina, iI will grow them up.

For some clarity, ISI sold the Echeveria in 2014. The plants sold at BBS and nurseries are grown commercially and have “name” linking the plants to their nursery. In this case the name “Diminuta” is Altman’s branding. You can read about this plant here; http://media.huntington.org/ISI/ISI2014/2014-19.html
