Oh no.....! Your summer reminds me of my summer last year. So I know how frustrated and 'down' you must feel and how it seems the bad luck/pain goes on forever. But you will get through it. So sorry to know you have more set-backs. Feel better fast!

Brad - I'm so sorry you're having this complication. Sending healing vibes your way. The summer hasn't gone well for me either. I've been suffering horrible side effects from radiation treatments for the past two weeks.

Here's the good news. They caught the clot before it went to your heart or brain. Here's the bad news, 2 more days of hospital food. Yuck!.... Before this set back, how were you walking under your own steam (if at all)?..................Maryl

Thanks everyone. I am home now and my leg is much better. I will be on blood thinners the next 3-6 months. The surgeon, who is amazing, gave me no restrictions. Of course I should be careful of cuts and bruises, etc.

As to walking due to knee surgery, I am allowed to walk around the house with no crutches, one crutch anywhere else due to leg weakness.. I will continue PT and the current goal is to build up strength.

We too thought it odd to get a blood clot so late after the surgery, but we were told this is not so unusual.

Brad - only now seeing this as I catch up on all the posts. Sorry you missed out on so much of the summer, but happy to hear that they caught the clot and that you are doing better. And even better now some days later!
