Wall decoration

We just moved in to a new condo and need

some affordable design ideas for decorating our 18 ft wall in the living room. The bedroom is lofted and hangs over the living room, leaving one large wall. We are only renting, so don’t want to invest too Much money in artwork. Any ideas for art,

mirrors, bookcases etc. to fill the space are much appreciated!

I personally am not a huge fan of mirrors (maybe because the house I grew up in had an entire wall in our living room with mirrors on it, LOL. I cannot tell where this wall is in relation to other rooms, or doors, but I think a bookcase would look nice there. You can also use a ladder type bookcase to keep the airy feel.

If this space is part of a walkway, then I would get a larger rectangular piece of artwork.

Hang or stretch fabric, woven flat rug, three wallpapered canvases, etc. are not expensive.

Consider using multiples of 'found objects' that can be placed artistically on the wall and then removed when you move.

If you don't have a lot of money, you should get yourself to a flea market, antique market or architectural salvage store. With a little imagination you can find an old sign, or farm implement, or an old gate, or piece of machinery, or decorative door frame, etc.

Im wondering if you even really need to decorate all that? I would put all your furniture in its place. Lets say for example you put a console table on that wall you may only need to hang a painting or mirror over that . I think its the cart before the horse. Get set up and then decide. I know its a cool wall to have but I think it would be grand even if it was not decorated to the top..

IMO not a pro. How will that space be used under the fan?
