Those are beautiful! They look very happy. Love the leaf colors. I wish my local nurseries carried a bigger selection.

Last year was the first time I’ve had them and I’m very impressed: they held up in our Texas summer of days upon days of 100+ temps, full on brutal afternoon sun, and once a week irrigation.

I saw the 1st post and was going to respond but you already mentioned it in your thread. I used them for my beddings. I just wish they were not as pricey......

This year, I've had some weird flukes. Some of them turned out to be a different color than purchased, so for example, in my row of corals, I will have a light pink one in the mix, standing out like a sore thumb

Okay, rouge, maybe you or someone here can answer this for me, as I have never been able to get an answer from any garden center employee. I know Sunpatiens can TOLERATE more sun. But do they NEED more sun? I've never known whether I can substitute them for impatiens because my impatiens were always in shade or part shade. If they NEED more sun, they probably aren't going to get it in my garden lol! And as has been mentioned, they are on the pricey side. I have bought a few for pots in past years, but never for my usual in-garden shade applications.

That being said, I noticed with some excitement early this spring (before we were all stuck inside) that there is a new breed of impatiens that is resistant to the mildew problem. I just googled it again and it's Imara XDR. I haven't seen it offered yet locally but then again this year I only made one run to a garden center in June. I'll have to keep an eye out for them next season.

Or for Sunpatiens with foliage like yours! I would be more than happy to have those plants on my patio!
