Second guessing my island pendants

Ok Houzzers,

I have really struggled with lighting options. There are so many beautiful fixtures out there in the universe. I purchased 2 large pendants for above my island that are statement makers, but I am now second-guessing.

For reference, kitchen is 16'x20'. Island is 108" x 54". Cabinet and counter selections are below. Brass hardware. Perimeter cabinets are dove white with a subtle gray glaze. Island, fridge / freezer columns, and appliance garage are SW Naval. Our range is a Lacanche in a subtle off-white to match cabinets. My house leans transitional in style.

Backsplash has not been purchased, but will be most likely be Encore ceramic Miramar in a very light gray to pick up tones in the countertop.

Anyway, are the pendants too crazy? Too bold? These will be the only pendants in the space, everything else will be recessed lighting, under-cabinet and in-cabinet lighting. I love the look of these online and in pictures, but I think I'm nervous now that cabinets are being installed and it will all come together. Someone talk me off my ledge! LOL

I love the pendants. They are sculptural and interesting. Great choice.

Megs, I love the pendant too. I think it will be a perfect somplement to your LaCanche range. Though my question for you is: Did you try to match the gilt finish with the brass/gold finish on the LaCanche? I ordered an Ilve range with brass/gold knobs and I would like to find lighting in the same tone--but it is hard to do when the showrooms don't have any lighting samples to speak of and I don't have the range either. Any thoughts?

Bold selections often cause anxiety, but that is what makes a compelling design. Like others, I think your pendant selection is creative and attractive. Well done.

Thank you all! I really appreciate the feedback. And @Mark Eric Benner - Architects, Ltd., I agree! Bold selections often cause anxiety. I do need to trust myself more often. I love design and I think I do a pretty darn good job. Thank you for the confidence boost! :)

@Jay Inhoff... so I really don't like matchy-matchy, but I believe in coordinating color families. Obviously the Lacanche has unlacquered brass hardware, my faucet is polished brass and then the cabinet hardware and lighting are more of a brushed finish. They all have the same undertones, but not necessarily the same finish. I think that's what makes a space special. I chose those pendants because I loved them, they were bold, and they offered some curvature in what I view as a relatively linear space.

    Beautiful countertop. What is it?

@girl_wonder, the distributor marketed it as White Lux quartzite. But could go by a totally different name elsewhere.

Megs-is your kitchen complete? I’m considering white lux quartzite and wonder how it’s holding up. Love all your choices!! Any pics??

@megs1030 Would love to see pics of your completed kitchen!

@Mcc, our White Lux quartzite was damaged during fabrication so we had to pick a completely different stone. The one we ended up choosing was called Mykonos, but I'm willing to bet it's a Macaubus of some sort.

@alladd, Kitchen is still in progress (paint and window treatments are left)... will post when finally complete!

    But I can share this:

Beautiful!!!! That range is stunning. How is the stone holding up?!

The Mykonos is holding up great! Could not be happier... and I love it more than the White Lux.

Megs1030, do you have a picture of your finished product? We are putting in Mykonos quartzite, and I’m a little nervous that it may have too much gray for my liking.
