Front door colour

My door is West facing. It is a 1955 brick house. I am looking to paint the door behind the glass. I would like to remove the glass door but my husband wants to keep it. The colour is currently brown. We just bought this house so I want to make it ours. I do believe in Feng Shui but all the colours they suggest for a west facing door would not go in my opinion. Help!!
