When you shut it off check for spark prior to restarting , your ignition module maybe faulty . If you have spark it is most likely fuel starvation , either restricted fuel filter or fouled carb perhaps.

Remove spark plug and ground it against the head with the wire lead and pull over the engine to verify spark !
