New construction vs. replacement windows?

September 11, 2019

We are getting ready to start a large scale remodel/addition to our home and in the end, only four of the original windows are staying (to be replaced with replacement windows) and the rest will be new construction. However, I'm concerned about the noticeable difference there will be be on the front exterior of our home where 2 windows will be replacement and 6 others (two double windows and two single windows) will be new construction. The veneer is brick.

So far, the options presented to us are:

1) Live with the difference.

2) Remove the brick around the existing windows and re-install new construction windows.

3) Install replacement windows where new construction windows would typically go and trim around it.

We are leaning towards Option 3 but is there something I'm missing? What would you suggest?
