Sunshine, you were missed!! We may have not said it up until now but we sure did. You ok now? You have my e-mail right? Your trees look amazing. Look at you. After all you have been through, and your trees still look that great. I thought that photo of your Key Lime was a Kaffir. It has the perfect shape there! So green too. You are using the same mix Brian uses, right? Is it Pro mix? It sure does a great job on your trees! I am so happy you are back and I will never forget the beautiful pictures you posted for me of storms and clouds)

I'm also impressed by the clementine from store bought twig.

Last winter I saw a few clementines that had leaves or pieces of branch still attached to them. I bought two and tried to root them but had no success.

Mike, you are very kind! I am doing ok now, it was a devastating loss of two of my cousins (18 and 20 years old) in a tragic car explosion. One died 24 hours after the accident and the other died a month later in hospital. His injuries were too severe. My two uncles and their loved ones are devastated. I tried to keep the trees somewhat happy and have not cared for them properly this season. I grow all my trees and house plants in Promix, they do well in it. My key lime seedling shown above did not flower this year, it was growing very tall and vigorously in the beginning of this year, I chopped the top off in May and it sent side branches, the trunk thickened nicely and it looks good so far.

Dave, James that clementine was grafted on Volk.Lemon in the spring of 2018 from the top branch of the original "clementine from store twig". The original grafted clementine tree declined over time and died, it was growing very slow on a pomelo seedling. I listened to my instincts and grafted it on a different rootstock and saved the variety. It is growing lanky right now, I need to train and shape it better.

Welcome back, Sunshine, sorry about the tragedy you went through. Life can be hard at times but glad you took time to heal. You were missed! Your plants look great. Your friendship tree is lovely! I have been through a lot also over the past winter and have not posted in a while, but here I am today trying to play catch up. It sure is good to see you and other old friends. Stay in touch..

We have to be in a hurry to live this life to the fullest each moment. Not paying attention is not an option!

Sunshine, Brian couldn't have worded it better. I am so sorry too. Yes, life does go on, but thank God we are surrounded by good friends and family to help alliviate all the pain. Sunshine, it’s been a long time hearing from you, looking forward for your interesting articles. Hope your problems are leveling out now.

This week our tourist town has the 3 B’s , Harley bikes festival, Bikes, Blues, Barbeque. It has already 2 fatalaities. As a fireman, I have seen it all. Why firemen? We have to bring them back to the road when they end up of the road, down hill , it is usely a ugly scene. Sometimes we do this chore.

Bob, good to see you here! Have been reading threads on this forum, that I missed, seen the pictures of your trees, your citrus orchard is beautifu! My trees are not looking the best this season, will have to work harder to keep them happy. In couple of days bringing them inside my sunroom after spraying and some pruning. This was the shortest summer, it went by so fast and soon we will be back to gloomy dark days. Eight months of indoor environment is not good for them and for me the hardest part is to keep them free of pests.

I hope we are able to improve this forum, members with new idea,s are most welcome, nit-picking not so much. Hopefully we can make you more happy during those long months.
