Tiles and stone will actually be more expensive the Shera Wood (depending on the length and thickness.)

If you wouid prefer tiles, then you get exterior tiles that have a wooden look which you can colour. or leave them plain as per your design choice.

Wouldn't ceramic tiles wood finish, laid in planks of 6" x 24" solve the problem? Not my go-to choice though. Another option would be to use texture paint (with larger granules) in a deep chocolate colour

I only suggested the texture painting because you said that the composite wood cladding was beyond your budget

you can go with shera board it will cost you slightly more than stone cladding. shera will have less maintenance. some stones observe water in rainy season & may look ugly.

I think you don't want to do expense for exterior it is good concept we can develop interior in that cost so simple paint with white as two combination
