I don't grow either, but I've always been tempted by Borderer. I think it's pretty. From what I've read, I think it grows more outward than upward.

I have Borderer and it's still in a pot. I have it for a year now and, so far it stays very short about 1'-1.5' but tries to spread. I love the flowers but they don't last in hot weather. Seems like the whole plant wants to be in a shade (that I can't provide here). I was surprised it was bred in Australia but can't deal with the hot and sunny weather here. zone9b sunset 14 here.

We have had Borderer in our garden, grafted to 'Fortuniana' roots, for several years. It remains quite compact (never quite knee-high), and not much over 4 feet wide at the widest. It's one of the most compact roses we grow. Lakeland Florida, 9B

Thank you Malcolm. I appreciate your comments very much. Mine will be own root so at this point in time, I am not sure if that will make a difference in height or not. Instead of in the front, I may just have to keep this one in the back yard as I need something with a bit more height in the front. I am very excited about growing this rose and am looking forward to getting it.
