All too dark! If you have real hardwood floors there are no grout lines, correct? if you want the look of hardwood floors, you shouldn’t notice the grout lines. Pick a grout color that blends best with the tile color. The best way to see which color blends best is to squint after laying the lighter grouts next to tile. You’ll immediately notice when you squint, which one is too yellow, too beige, too tan etc and whichever one is left at the end is the winner.

Agree with previous posters. Take a look a some wood-look tile installations. The grout lines disappear.

What grout was used on the SAMPLE boards? That's your grout color. ALL TOO DARK in your photos.

Thus is what we have chosen. Our thought about changing came from searching these boards and finding comments about how you should choose the darkest color for your grout.

IMO those grout lines are too wide I am also wondering why the different tile .

What adalisa said. Or just take off your glasses instead of squinting ;-) That's what I do.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting - These are all the same tiles. We plan to go with 1/8" grout or even 1/16" if possible.

1/16th is the norm it should look like real wood no obvious grout to see at all and I meant why a different tile in the foyer ?
