narrow kitchen space

Hello,
We are stuggeling with our new kitchen lay-out. The kitchen and Living room are long and narrow together and is an open space. We prefer an island for open feel, breakfast, and entertaining. Our living room (bottom plan) is waterfront and we would like to have the kitchen stools also looking outdoor. I tried to create a kitchen plan with the Ikea kitchen planner in the first attachment.
Is it weird to have the cabinets and island not alligned in this space?

I think the reason no one responded is that (1) we don't what rooms are what (except the obvious ones -- like the ones with a toilet being bathrooms) and (2) it does not have a full set of measurements to work with. The fact that it's metric may also be a deterrent, but we can always convert to inches.

The majority of us here are from the USA -- which means English language and "English" measurements (inches).

FYI to others;
- 2611 mm = 102.8 inches
- 1029 mm = 140.5 inches
- 964 mm = 38 inches
- Unknown -- how much other space is available for use (top/bottom)
