The wall color is the last thing you pick. Your furniture upholstery comes first, then the rugs, then the wall color. It is easier to match upholstery and drapery fabrics because you have fewer choices in fabrics. Paint can be custom mixed to bring out the best in your furniture choices.

Yes, pick your new furniture and color schemes first, then worry about wall color. Picking paint colors can be overwhelming, but some Benjamin Moore Stores have a “decorator”. Our local store does. I’ve consulted her several times - for the right white to paint kitchen cabinets, and the right trim color to go with the various cool and some warmer Ben. Moore neutral colors in my son’s downstairs. Her color sense was right on. She will also come to your house and help you choose wall colors, including close color relatives for hall vs. dining room, living spaces, etc. Different rooms have different light, and you may not want all the same. Maybe for a fee or else because you will be buying their paint? Not sure how that works, but check with your local Benjamin Moore store.

All that natural light, from what direction does it come? There are many “neutrals”, but all have an undertone. For instance, if the light comes from the West, B.M. Patriotic White is perfect for that orientation.

Most come from south and east.

Both south and east love soft yellows and this one would be perfect for the entire space. It is in the OC colors (meaning off-white color). Guess what it loves as a coordinate? Dark brown!!

I love this room because the ceiling is also the same as the walls and you can see how warm and soft it is, so the entire space in this will be lovely.

    Benjamin Moore OC-120. Seashell.

What you think about BM gray owl?

Beautiful home and I love the bricked arch! Gray owl might be too dreary and not go well with that arch. I like JudyG's suggestion of Seashell. A white that leans soft yellow would keep your home bright and welcoming.

I received your note asking for another suggestion.

Consider B.M. Pearl River and Decorator’s White for any trim.

Because the walls are not smooth use a flat finish.

Ok first floor is done ill post later the results. Now i want to paint the bedrooms, need help here too. I tried a leftover paint but looks to muddy. Do you think a very dark blue wall behind the bed and a light gray on other walls will look good? Or should i go with light colors everywhere? Blue is the old paint and the edgecomb gray BM is just for test.
